Spent the morning going through the UC ATLAS I had received for this week. Checking when each claim had last been updated and if the income update I had received was a significant change or not.
I also received some new work in my tray which is a brand new way of working to reduce the UC ATLAS workload.
Each ATLAS batch is now being given to GovTech who will strip out any unnecessary notifications and then send it back to us to be loaded to Northgate and Anite. For each set of ATLAS notifications there will be a corresponding PDF document in Anite and the work is now distributed as new tray work rather than a list of ATLAS to accept on a spreadsheet.
I found the new PDF's a lot easier to read and interpret than the previous way we worked.
The afternoon was my study time.

Spent today doing normal ATLAS work. These were mainly change of addresses that had outstanding work in Anite to be processed so each ATLAS took quite a while to process as I needed to end claims at previous addresses and reopen at new ones as well as making sure that the council tax department had also been informed.

Caught up on some new work, changes of addresses and income. Had a new payment update item which was a person informing me that he was now the landlord of a property that had been left to him in his grandmothers will. On further investigation it transpired the landlord we held had passed away in January 2019 and no one had informed us. I requested a land registry to confirm the new owner and emailed him back asking for his details, address, nino, dob, bank details and new tenancy agreement.
I also completed two VEP tasks for income updates. One had a significant income change back to April 2019 and hadn't informed us. This created an overpayment of over £1000. I also set an event date on their claim to check for updated tax credits as they do not appear on CIS as the customer is a central government employee.
Change of address case could meet the criteria for S3.2.
